Operator Zone — house rulesThe house rules.
Plain English, no fine-print games. These rules exist for one reason: to keep Station Bus Nation the most trusted place in the industry — for the customers who ride, and for the brotherhood that runs the buses. Last updated July 2026.
Plain-English policy template — to be reviewed by an attorney before disputes arise. Not legal advice.
What you pay, when, and how to leave.
Founding pricing
There is one membership. Not a free one and a paid one, not bronze, silver and gold. Every member gets the listing, the app, the Lounge, the Clubhouse — all of it. The only thing that differs between two members is what they pay, and that is decided by when they joined. The $9.99 rate is the founding rate and it is limited to the first 500 operators. It is not offered again once those 500 are taken. A founding member pays $9.99/month for the first 90 days, then $19.99/month for 12 months. Thirty days before that ends we tell you in writing what the new rate is and when it starts — and whatever it is, founding members pay below whatever everybody else is paying at the time. Once the first 500 are gone, new members join at $29.99/month for 3 months and then the regular $49.99/month. Cancel anytime. We don’t make lifetime promises — prices can change — but we will give you at least 30 days’ written notice before any change to what you pay, and you can cancel before it takes effect. All prices are plus tax where applicable.
The two-hour rule
When a customer sends you a quote request through Station Bus Nation, we ask you to answer it within two hours — during the hours you tell us you are open. You set those hours when you sign up, and we only route customers to you inside them. Evenings and weekends are opt-in: switch them on if you want that work, and leave them off if you don't. An answer is not the same as a finished quote — “yes, I can cover this, firm price Monday morning” absolutely counts. Going quiet does not. Charter customers are usually contacting four or five companies at once, and the first real answer wins the trip far more often than the lowest price does. This is the deal in both directions: we send you the customer, you don't leave them waiting.
Annual plan — save 10%
Any member, joining any time, can pay 12 months up front and save 10%. On the $19.99 rate that’s $215.89 for the year — about $17.99/month. The annual rate is locked for the full 12 months you've paid, renews at the then-current annual price, and the same cancel-anytime spirit applies: annual plans run through their paid year.
Billing
Memberships bill automatically each month to the payment method on file. Your card is charged on the same day each month. We use a PCI-compliant payment processor — Station Bus Nation never stores your full card number. Prices exclude any taxes required by law.
Cancellation — anytime, no games
Cancel whenever you want from your dashboard or by emailing hello@stationbusnation.com. Cancellation stops the next charge; your paid features run through the end of the period you already paid for. No cancellation fees, no minimum term, no retention runaround. Heads up: canceling forfeits a founding rate lock — rejoin later and you pay the going rate.
Cancelling, and refunds
Cancel any time from your dashboard — no fee, no retention runaround, and no phone call to sit through. Cancelling stops the next charge; you keep your membership until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Refunds: within 3 days of a charge, we refund it in full, no questions asked. After 3 days that month stands and you simply are not billed again. Refunds go back to the card you paid with and usually appear in 5–10 business days — that timing is your bank's, not ours.
Cancelling is not the same as a refund — cancelling stops future charges, a refund returns money already taken. If something is wrong, get in touch and we will sort it out.
Your directory listing is not affected by any of this. It is public record and it stays exactly where it is whether you are a member or not.
Missed or failed payments — we pause, we don't punish
If a payment fails, we retry and email you. You get a 7-day grace period with reminders. If it still isn't resolved, your membership pauses — the member features (your storefront, direct quote requests, reviews, the Driver Zone app) stop until billing is fixed. Your directory listing stays exactly where it was, because that listing is public record and was never something you bought. Nothing is deleted and you can restart anytime.
Your founding number is held for you for 60 days. Come back inside 60 days and it is still yours, FM prefix and all. After 60 days you rejoin at the current number — the founding 500 were the first 500, and that is a fact about history rather than a punishment.
Refunds
Monthly fees already billed are generally non-refundable, but talk to us — if we got something wrong (a billing error, a service failure on our side), we'll make it right. Email hello@stationbusnation.com within 30 days of the charge.
The badge only means something if it's true.
Your company, your numbers
Claim only a company you own or are authorized to represent. Your USDOT/MC numbers, insurance, and operating authority must be yours and current. Impersonating another company is an instant, permanent ban.
Real photos, real fleet
Show coaches you actually run. No stock photos passed off as your fleet, no photos of buses you don't operate.
Stay legal to stay listed
You're responsible for holding the licenses, authority, and insurance your service areas require (FMCSA/USDOT and any state or municipal rules where you operate). If your authority lapses or is revoked, verification is suspended until it's restored — that is the whole point of checking the federal record.
Reviews are sacred
No fake reviews — not for yourself, not against a competitor. No paying for reviews, no review swaps. We remove fraudulent reviews and repeat offenders lose their listing.
Rules of The Clubhouse, SOS board & roster.
Talk like you're in a drivers' lounge with people you respect — because you are.
Respect the room
No harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech, or discrimination — full stop. Disagree about rates, shops, or coaches all day long; attack the argument, never the person. No profanity-laced pile-ons; keep it professional enough that a customer could read it.
Keep it clean
No nudity, sexual content, gore, or shock content. No content that sexualizes or endangers minors — that gets removed, banned, and reported to authorities, immediately and without discussion.
Nothing illegal, ever
No posts that facilitate anything unlawful: hours-of-service falsification, license fraud, insurance fraud, drug or weapon sales, human trafficking indicators, or evading safety regulations. We cooperate with law enforcement when the law requires it.
No spam, soliciting, or lobbying
The community is for operators helping operators — not a billboard. No unsolicited advertising, MLM/recruiting pitches, lead reselling, political campaigning or lobbying, fundraising, or off-topic promotion. Sharing a genuinely useful vendor or shop you actually use is welcome; shilling one you profit from without saying so is not.
Good faith on the SOS board & mutual aid roster
Emergency posts must be real emergencies. If you offer help, mean it — a member standing on a highway shoulder is counting on you. No predatory pricing on a stranded member — fair rescue rates are the whole reason this network exists. Roster listings must honestly describe what you can offer. Repeated no-shows or gouging get you removed from the network.
Members' privacy
Phone numbers, yard locations, and business details shared inside the network stay inside the network. Don't scrape, export, or share member info with outsiders, and never post someone's personal information without their say-so.
How we keep it fair.
Licensed use only
Your membership is a license to use Station Bus Nation for your bus company's legitimate business — nothing else. No scraping the directory, no harvesting or reselling leads or member data, no reverse-engineering, no using the platform to build a competing product, and no automated bots posting content.
The enforcement ladder
We're fair, and we're human: (1) content that breaks the rules gets removed and you get told why → (2) a written warning → (3) temporary suspension from the community features → (4) removal from the platform. Severe violations — impersonation, fraud, threats, anything illegal, anything involving minors — skip the ladder entirely. Removal for cause doesn't refund the current month.
Appeals
Think we got it wrong? Email hello@stationbusnation.com with the details. A human reads every appeal — usually the same human who founded the company.
The legal frame
Station Bus Nation is a directory and community platform — not a broker, carrier, or party to any transportation contract. Deals struck between members (rescues, rentals, referrals, coverage) are strictly between those members; do your own diligence on insurance and authority before lending or borrowing equipment. These policies are governed by Delaware law and may be updated as the platform grows — material changes will be announced to members with reasonable notice.
